Have you got something to celebrate but you're not sure what to do? - may be a graduation, birthday, retirement or a reunion. If it involves a group of six or more getting together and you fancy the idea of a few days away then read on. Acacia Cottages provide bespoke group breaks in a variety of locations throughout the UK. Our cottages are surrounded by beautiful countryside and on the inside are furnished and decorated to a high standard. Your cottage provides the base for your holiday In the cottage you can cook or have food delivered, and from your cottage you will make your way to the various activities that you have chosen (though sometimes the activities come to you).
A typical Celebration weekend break would consist of:
Friday afternoon/evening - arrive at one of our lovely cottages, unload, then depending on the season, either move to the garden where you can sip champagne and dine outside, or in the winter a gourmet meal can be brought to you, then move round to the fire (either at the cottage or at a cosy local pub) and drink, chat and just enjoy being in each other's company.
Saturday morning - wake up, cook breakfast then head outside for some fresh air and maybe a bit of excitement. There are a wide variety of options depending on the destination but you could choose to spend the morning shopping, on the golf course, or even in the water. Following this you can all meet for lunch either back at your cottage, at a local gastro-pub or maybe lunch alfresco with a delicious picnic (weather permitting!).
Saturday afternoon - you may want to seriously relax so why not spend the afternoon in a spa, enjoying a treatment or two, and maybe a glass of champagne. Alternatively have the spa come to you with one of our visiting beauticians or natural therapists.
Saturday evening - get dressed-up and head out for dinner, whatever you have to celebrate this is the time to do so. Order the champagne and offer a toast, a special dessert can be arranged to finish off the meal. You may wish to spend the evening in the restaurant or you may prefer to head on elsewhere for a few more drinks (recommendations and reservations can be provided). Either way we can make sure you get home from where you are.
Sunday morning - get-up, have breakfast, maybe have a stroll round the village or a ramble in the country, picking up the papers on the way back. Relax and chat in the cottage for a while, maybe go for lunch, then all head home. PLEASE NOTE: Check-out times are normally between 12pm-1pm but can be as early as 10am; this will be confirmed when you book but please ask if you are in any doubt.
