York is a beautiful city with a youthful vibrancy and relaxed cosmopolitan atmosphere that fit surprisingly well with its ancient roman remains and more recent Viking heritage. The Yorkshire Wolds lie to the North-East of the city and are a beautiful location in which to base your group. The rolling chalk hills and streams make a splendid backdrop to various outdoor activities. And once you have all been suitable exercised, they are lovely to look out on from a large table in a country pub with a fire roaring in the background (which also serves good food and wine of course).
York is renowned for its exquisite architecture, tangle of quaint cobbled streets and the iconic York Minster – but wander down the Shambles, or sit and sip a Mojito looking over the river and you’ll see the signs of the more fashionable, cutting edge scene that is flourishing in this northern jewel.
You may want to enjoy a vintage tea party, or learn the dark art of Burlesque – or perhaps action and adventure is your thing? But then everybody wants to relax for a little while, perhaps have a treatment or two, before getting glammed up and hitting the bars. Whatever your thing, we’re sure York and the Yorkshire Wolds have everything you need and of the standard your desire.
