So you have the job of organising a hen weekend but you're not sure where to start? You know you want it be a bit different but you're not sure how? You think you'd like to avoid some of the more popular rituals (like walking round a city centre with the bride-to-be wearing L-plates and carrying a Mustapha Shag doll!) but you do still want to celebrate and have a good time. Well Acacia Cottages could have just what you're looking for…
A typical Acacia hen weekend would consist of:
Friday afternoon/evening - arrive at one of our lovely cottages, unload, then depending on the season, either move to the garden where you can sit, relax and sip champagne, or in the winter, set-up around an open fire (in the cottage or at the cosy local pub) and chat 'til the wee small hours.
Saturday morning - wake up, cook breakfast then head out for a bit of adventure, maybe pony-trekking across Exmoor, or surfing in South Wales (transfers and all kit normally included - and maybe the odd fit instructor too!). A picnic lunch can be provided.
Saturday afternoon - chill out at a spa and have a treatment or two, or maybe have the spa come to you with one of our visiting alternative therapists or beauticians.
Saturday evening - get dressed-up and head out for dinner, then to a bar or two and maybe later onto a club.
Sunday morning - get-up, have breakfast, chill and chat for a few hours, maybe go for lunch, then all head home. PLEASE NOTE: Check-out times are normally between 12pm-1pm but can be as early as 10am; this will be confirmed when you book but please ask if you are in any doubt.
