The cottage sleeps 9 people in total (includes a sofa bed) but an additional small size z-bed can be added for a 10th person.
The cottage is equipped with all modern conveniences but retains its character with features such as brick inglenooks, wood-burners and exposed timbers. The large kitchen, living room and dining room make it ideal for celebrations and get-togethers.
On the ground floor the accommodation consists of lounge with huge brick inglenook, solid fuel burner, Digital TV, video, books, games and videos. The dining room has flagged floor, stone fireplace (wood burner) and oak dining suite. The kitchen has a granite worktop, oak fronted units, all electric appliances including dishwasher, microwave and fridge / freezer. At the rear wing there is a 25 foot long lounge with piano, stereo, brick inglenook and oil stove. The first floor has 3 bedrooms - two twin, one double en-suite with bath / shower and WC and a family bathroom with bath/shower. At the rear wing the back stairs lead to a large master bedroom with en-suite bath and separate shower. This bedroom has a high quality sofa bed.
The house is furnished and decorated with prints and original paintings. All rooms (including those with stoves or open fires) have oil fired central heating.
Outside there is plenty of parking space. An open barn has a table tennis table and a barbecue is also supplied.
RIVER COTTAGE Retreat Weekend includes:
- Two night’s self catering cottage accommodation (4*)
- Transfers from your cottage to RIVER COTTAGE HQ
Friday Night @ RIVER COTTAGE experience (start times vary from 6pm to 7.30pm):
- transportation by tractor and trailer across the farm
- seasonal cocktail on arrival
- private farmhouse with comfy seating in front of open fire
- a RIVER COTTAGE chef will talk you through the evening’s five course menu
- your four course dinner is served to you in the farmhouse
- a member of the RIVER COTTAGE front of house team will be dedicated to your group
- around 11.30pm, catch the tractor back up the hill
- return transfers back to your cottage
RIVER COTTAGE HQ is licensed so you can buy drinks on site. However they also allow BYO and they do not charge corkage (so if you think you may drink more than a few glasses of wine, this could be a good option!)

For Saturday Night @ RIVER COTTAGE instead of Friday Night as shown above, please add £25pp.
In addition to the Friday Night package you also receive half a bottle of organic wine per person. The wines are carefully chosen to go with your dinner which is a five course tasting menu (as opposed to four courses on the Friday).
