...The weekend was perfect. The cottage was stunning and very comfortable, set in a perfect location which was easily accessible to Bristol. We had a great day shooting and an even better night out in Bristol.
Bristol Harbourside
A former dock, the Harbourside has been completely redeveloped and now brings us culture combined with a mass of attractive restaurants, bars & shops. The whole area has a wonderful buzz to it, offering great day time places to visit such as the M-Shed, the Arnolfini, the Watershed film centre & boats such as the Matthew and SS Great Britain.
Tip: This area can get busy especially on sunny days so get us to book your restaurant in advance to ensure your’re not hanging around.
The Harbourside has a wealth of boat trips, canoeing, Kayaking or ferry trips. If you want to combine it with the odd tipple or two, there is a Booze cruise which stops at a number of pubs on route.
Clifton Suspension Bridge
The most famous landmark in Bristol created by Brunel. This 76m high Suspension Bridge spans the width of the Avon Gorge. You can walk across the bridge or an alternative is to have a drink on the balcony of the Avon Gorge Hotel and see it with a gin & tonic in hand.
Tip: whilst in Clifton Village explore the wonderful boutique shops, restaurants, delis, cafes & clubs or have a picnic in the park.
Bristol offers such an eclectic mix of shopping experiences – Clifton Village has lovely boutique type shops, restaurants and delis’s. Park Street (shortlisted: Great British High Street of the Year Award 2014) offers trendy clothes boutiques, music stores, art galleries and even one of Banksy’s works in the Cathedral area. Cabots Circus offers mainstream shops such as Zara & Harvey Nichols, cinemas and restaurants. Whiteladies Road has more independent shops, it comes alive at night.

Started in Bristol this wonderful Latin American restaurant is found down at the Harbourside & on Whiteladies Road in Clifton. Both restaurants have a great vibe.
This is a great little Cocktail bar which has a cracking atmosphere and fantastic, friendly bar service. Open till the early hours it is well worth a visit! We can arrange the transfers to and from your cottage to take the hassle out your evening.

If you are looking for a low-lit chilled bar which stays open until 3am in the morning head for Hyde & Co. Set on the Clifton Triangle at the bottom of Whiteladies Road it is great at the end the evening when you don’t want to go home!

In its fourth year this festival has a wealth of music found in Eastville Park.

1. Ribena was invented in Bristol, at the National Fruit and Cider Institute, after sources of Vitamin C dwindled during World War II and researchers found blackcurrants to be a great alternative to oranges.
2. It’s a hub of comedy with many famous comedians’ coming out of Bristol. David Walliams & Matt Lucas both studied at Bristol University and Russell Howard and Stephen Merchant were born there.
3. Bristol has had loads of TV programmes produced throughout its streets such as Casualty, Skins, Afterlife and many more. It is also the home to Wallace and Gromit.

By Car:
Come off junction 19 of the M4 and follow the M32 into the centre.
