You’re packed but have you got all the hen weekend essentials? Here are our top 7 must include items you may want to double check you’ve included in your suitcase!
1: The Kitty
One of the most important hen weekend essentials! Avoid awkward money moments by letting everyone know how much kitty money you need. Also, try and get it before you leave so you don’t have to chase people whilst enjoying the weekend.
2: Holiday Plan
Don’t forget your detailed Acacia holiday plan. An inventory is included providing you with all the valuable numbers, addresses and timings of all your activities to make sure your weekend goes without a hitch.
3: Chargers & Cameras
Memories are precious and backing them up with photos essential. Don’t miss that ‘moment’ by forgetting to take your charger & remind the hen group to do the same! Tip: if you want to get some really unsolicited moments, provide disposable cameras. It could be the best ever storyboard in hen party history!
4: Playlist
There is always one person in a hen group who is a budding DJ in the making. Assign them the wondrous task of creating the playlists for the pre-party wind up and post-party wind down. Top tip: make sure you put on all the bride-to-be favourites, as it is all about her!
5: Decorations, Hen Party Games & Accessories
Don’t forget your photos, bunting, balloons, table accessories, pre-prepared hen party games and anything else which will make your cottage feel amazingly special for the weekend.
6: Food & Drink
Although some of our cottages do offer basic provisions, it’s always best to take the basics, just in case:
Food / drink basics:
- Milk, butter, bread
- Sugar, tea, coffee, hot chocolate
- Breakfast food; cereals, eggs, bacon, juices
- Snacks; crisps, olives and most of all chocolate!
- Meals; if you are not having our chef dinner you could assign different people to bring items such as main meals, salads, puddings, breakfast, starters, fridge picking food, vegetables etc.
- Alcohol and soft drinks
Cottage Basics:
- Washing up liquid & washing tablets, just in case
- Bin bags
- Tissues
- Toilet roll; the cottages have a basic supply but your really don’t want to run out so take some more. if you have too much play an ad hoc game of the Wedding Dress game always great for bringing in the laughs!
