Thrill Seeking
Our Thrill Seeking packages are designed for our clients who like adventure, but also to showcase the more exciting and modern country pursuits available in Britain. Whilst we do provide some thrill seeking activities in all of our destinations, geography plays a big part in what's available. As such Tenby, on the Pembrokeshire coast, and Wells at the foot of the Mendips, are our Thrill Seekers hubs. The activities available include:
Coasteering
Available for Tenby
For those in the know this saltwater version of canyoning is an adrenalin filled, energetic experience that you'll never forget. Scrambling over rocks, jumping off cliffs and swimming in the sea, coasteering is perfect for those with a high octane lifestyle.
Surfing & Windsurfing
Available for Tenby
For a group of people, surfing can prove the ideal participant and spectator sport. As you wear yourself out trying to get upright for just a few seconds, you'll also notice your mate taking a none-to-graceful forward dive as a wave unsteadies their board. For the more experienced surfer our instructors are fully qualified to give hints and tips for improvement and the beaches and bays along the coast from Tenby provide ample opportunities to try them out.
Mountain Biking
Available for Wells
If you and your group fancy spending a few hours on two wheels rather than two legs then the Mendips hills can provide some challenging and exciting rides. You'll be led round some tough and some not so tough tracks (depending on your ability) and there's bound to be a few thrills and spills worthy of pub talk later that day.
Kayaking & Canoeing
Available for Cheltenham, Stratford, Tenby, Wells
If you fancy getting all wet then kayaking and canoeing, either in the sea or down a river, is certain to be your thing. Experienced instructors will lead you round some quieter parts to begin with, where you have a chance to learn the ropes and also have a look around at the impressive sights (your best mate upending their canoe because they were trying to stay dry!). Later on you'll get treated to more challenging conditions as your adrenalin starts pumping and the excitement takes hold of you. When you do get out, you'll feel exhausted but also desperate to do it again.
Climbing, Abseiling & Caving
Available for Tenby, Wells
These three rock sports are excellent fun for a group of friends wanting thrills and excitement and again the cliffs of Pembrokeshire and the Mendip hills provide the perfect backdrop. Getting used to the heights (or the depths in caving) is normally the first challenge people have to overcome but you very quickly get comfortable knowing the experienced instructors are in control.
You decide how to combine these activities however they are subject to availability so do check your destination and call us to check the dates. Please remember that you are not limited to Thrill Seeking activities, you can combine these with any activities from our other packages (Relaxation, Gastro Gourmet, Lord & Lady of the Manor, Shop 'til you Drop, or Tee Off). For instance, why not combine a morning kayaking with an afternoon on horseback or opt for a more relaxing time at a vineyard sampling the produce? It's your holiday, have it your way!
