Our Lord & Lady of the Manor packages are designed to give you a taste of the more traditional country pursuits both sporting and relaxing. These activities include:
Horse-riding / Pony-trekking
Available for Bath, Cheltenham, Oxford, Stratford, Tenby, Wells
What better way to discover the beautiful British countryside than on horseback? It gives the perfect opportunity for a group to spend an hour or two in the great outdoors, chatting and having a laugh (probably at a fellow rider's expense!). Though you may only be riding for an hour, the hack could be longer taking in a scenic spot perfect for a picnic or a country pub for a hearty lunch. Whether experienced riders or first-timers you will all enjoy a fun day out.
A Day at the Races
Available for Bath, Cheltenham, Stratford, Wells
Fancy spending a few hours watching the sport of kings? This can be an excellent day out for you and your group, both fun and exciting but with an air of luxury and refinement. Ok so you may lose a few bob on "three-legged donkey" but with great food, good wine, and the best of company, you're sure to have an amazing time (and who knows - you may even win!).
Clay Shooting
Available for Bath, Cheltenham, Oxford, Stratford, Tenby, Wells
One of the most recognisable of country pursuits and certainly one of the most exhilarating, shooting is high in demand thanks to famous participants such as Madonna and Guy Ritchie. At Acacia we can't promise a chance encounter with the Queen of Pop but we can organise a few hours, a half-day or even a full day shooting guaranteed to bring thrills and excitement to all of your group.
Shooting is a very physical sport but for a less tiring option though still exciting and very competitive, we can offer Laser clay shooting, please call for more details.
River Cruises or Punting
Available for Bath, Cheltenham, Oxford, Stratford
What better way to while away a few hours than messing about on the water. Using the river as your road will reward you with glimpses into both city and country not normally seen. In Oxford we can arrange punts or row boats which you can command yourself or make the use of a trained skipper. If you'd prefer a less energetic option then our river cruises in both Bath and Oxford may be preferable. These may best be enjoyed around midday or in the late evening when a delicious picnic feast can be provided (with wine and champagne if you wish).
Fishing
Available for Cheltenham, Tenby, Wells
You and your group may be complete novices, or you may be highly experienced freshwater anglers. Whatever your ability our fishing locations can provide you with anything from a fun few hours, to a full day of relaxation interspersed with moments of tension and excitement.
You decide how to combine these activities however they are subject to availability so do check your destination and call us to check the dates. Please remember that you are not limited to Thrill Seeking activities, you can combine these with any activities from our other packages (Relaxation, Gastro Gourmet, Thrill Seeking, Shop 'til you Drop, or Tee Off). For instance, why not combine a morning kayaking with an afternoon on horseback or opt for a more relaxing time at a vineyard sampling the produce? It's your holiday, have it your way!
