They are next to the Mendip Hills in Somerset and are within 20 minutes walking distance of a local pub/restaurant and shop. Wells is 20 minutes drive, Bristol 30 minutes and Bath 45 minutes.
The first house sleeps 9 people and has four bedrooms. There is a king size bedroom with ensuite shower, a king size room with antique bed and wash hand basin, 1 twin room and 1 room with 3 single beds. There is a separate bathroom with roll top bath, original antique brass taps and large wash hand basin. There is a large living room with open fire, T.V. and video. The open plan kitchen/dining area has been made to measure and is a mixture of ash and painted units. It has a Smeg 5 burner hob on a central island, large Smeg oven, two stainless sinks set into a granite worktop, a dishwasher, retro fridge, coffee percolator and microwave oven. The dining area has a unique square table which seats 8 but can be extended to seat 13.
Outside there a good-sized garden with a seated area and a BBQ (fuel provided). The original Victorian tennis court has been reinstated. Please bring your own tennis equipment as they have a limited supply of racquets. There is an outdoor pool which can be used at certain times (weather permitting) from the end of May to September.
The 2nd property sleeps 4 and is privately set in the grounds, with its own screened garden, including decking and barbecue area. Two bedrooms sleep four people. The first bedroom has a huge carved and silver leafed bed and antique furnishings. The second bedroom has 2 single Victorian style metal beds and quality furnishings. There is a wet room with limestone tiled walls and floor, providing a spa style bathroom. The living room has a fireplace with wood burning effect stove. There is a table and four chairs for dining along with TV and DVD. There is a huge antique leather settee and comfy armchair. The kitchen has handmade units made from antique wood and there is a cooker, microwave and dishwasher along with retro-Smeg fridge freezer. It has a natural slate floor and vaulted ceiling.
