Acacia Birthday Bash
There's a birthday coming up, possibly a milestone, and you're looking for a new way to celebrate the occasion. You want the birthday girl or boy to have a fabulous time but you have to make sure everyone enjoys themselves. A group of people can be difficult to satisfy for a few hours, let alone a few days. With different tastes, particularly across age groups, finding the right mix of activities can prove hard. A typical Acacia birthday break would consist of:
Friday afternoon/evening - arrive at one of our lovely cottages, unload, then depending on the season, either move to the garden where you can have a barbecue and have some fun in the sun, or in the winter, a gourmet meal (with birthday cake!) can brought to you, then chat and maybe play some games around an open fire.
Saturday morning - wake up, cook breakfast then head out for some fresh air and exercise. You could try a countryside walk, or if there are golfers amongst you maybe they'll fancy a round whilst the non-golfers could spend the morning in a spa enjoying a treatment or two before the whole party meets-up for a birthday lunch. You could eat back at your cottage or enjoy some local fare at a restaurant or gastro-pub, or in the summer a picnic can be provided.
Saturday afternoon - either sit-back and relax in the cottage, or head out for a spot of wine-tasting at one of England's increasing number of good vineyards.
Saturday evening - get dressed-up and head out for dinner, toast the birthday girl or boy with some champagne and enjoy the best cooking and local produce the area has to offer.
Sunday morning - get-up, have breakfast, maybe have a stroll round the village or a ramble in the country, picking up the papers on the way back. Relax and chat in the cottage for a while, maybe go for lunch, then all head home.
